When Spider-Man 3 cam out, or rather just before Spider-Man 3 came out, there was a ton-and-a-half of Spidey-related tie-ins that were out in the stores — and I ought to know, as I purchased a bunch of ‘em. The question that I have is, whit the impending presence of a major Batman film just a week or so away, where in the name of Bill Finger are all of the Batman tie-ins?
No really, I know that there are some supposed to be out there and I’ve even reported on a couple, but seriously, I don’t see any thing out there on the shelves. Does anyone see Bat-stuff? ‘cause I certainly don’t.
To be sure, it could have something to do with Heath Ledger’s untimely death, but I’m not entirely convinced that’s the problem. It can’t be that Marvel is more savvy than DC (or could it?). Personally, I’m not sure, but I can’t help but to wonder.
Thankfully, I’m more about the Spider, than the Bat, so I’m cool.
