Dimension of the Wild West

As anyone who regularly follows me on my blog here already knows. I've been writing professionally for several years. Initially as a journalist (mostly in the field of comicbooks), then as a reviewer (comics, movies and other pop culture events), and (more recently) as an author (yes, in comics). All of that has changed even more recently when a prose story of mine was accepted for publication in an anthology.

You see, a short while back a Facebook friend of mine got me hooked up with a writes' group on Facebook, and contributed a short story to a proposed anthology from the group. Well, as it turns out, my story was accepted and not I can announce that the two-volume set will be released on Amazon.

The ebook versions are available for pre-order as of April 20th, while the print versions will be available on April 30th.

The link for Volume One is: https://amzn.to/3sqPkfb

The link for Volume Two is: https://amzn.to/3glB8l6

My short story, "Ghost Dance" appears in vol. #2

Here is my bio page that appears in both volumes.

Batman & Superman Punk each other

Don’t look now, but Superman has been punk’d

(What totally makes the gag work, is Batman’s comment at the end!)

Still you can't really blame Batman, especially after what Superman did over in Gotham.

Farmville Has it all!

OK, no, I really don't believe that, but, well Virtually everyone I know plays Farmville on Face book (or Yoville, or Mafia Wars), and recently 7-Eleven did a tie-in with these three games, producing cups representing them all.

Well, I spotted them, and — since the wife is one of those Farmville addicts —plays it all the time, I decided to score her one of the cups.

So, here is that cup (front and back), and well, that should be that.

Me, I don’t play, but I do collect fast food tie-ins, and well, this certainly qualifies.

Facebook for Superheroes

I just saw this today, and had to put it up here. It is a bit that imagines if Superheroes spent as much time on Facebook as did the rest of us, and what kinds of things they would post.

I especially love the Spider-man bit:

As it turns out, the best part of the article (in its original post) is that if you click on the various entries, you link to a web page that explains each of the various references.

Hilarious!
