Iron Man, Iron Man, does whatever an Iron can!

Yeah, yeah, it is way past the debut of Iron Man on the big screen, and I’ve already posted my review of the film on Popthought, in my film review column Suspension of belief. So now, I’m trying to hunt down the couple of fast food toy tie-ins to the film. Unfortunately, I totally missed the 7-eleven cups (because every time I stopped in to a 7-eleven to get one, they were out, and the people working there would look at me as if I was from Mars, unable to figure out what it was that I wanted).

I actually did better with the Burger King toys, but only by a little, as I only managed to acquire three of the six toys. Right now I’m trying to check with a buddy of mine who is a dealer of such things to see if he acquired any, otherwise I’m going back to ebay to see what I can scare up. Thus far I managed to get my hands on at least one of the 7-eleven items, but there are still four more slurpee cups that I’m hoping to get.

These are the items that I have acquired, I’ll post the others when I get them as well.

Aw, crap! I forgot about the Iron Man toys at BK! Why pay $9 for the action figures when you can get them AND a meal for about $3 or so? =)

Didn't BK switch to the Indiana Jones toys already? Is it me, or did they switch faster than usual?

Yes, the did switch, and I thought that the switch was quite fast as well, but I think that they Iron Man toys were in BK a week or two before the film hit the theaters.

Switched already? Nuts. Well I guess I'll get Indy before he disappears.

The Indy toys didn’t interest me so much, but perhaps I’ll score one or two before they are gone. What I really want, however, are Hulk toys. I’m hoping they will be at BK as well.

This title reminds me of a movie of two nut guys in an artificial wood in a green-house, they sang Ironman and one of the old guys in the staff there said it's Spider-Man.

Not intending to fix what isn't broken, just placing the memory I opened its can.

Since the movie is such a big hit I started collecting his comics, wasn't that fond of the ol' Sell-Head until now. I never knew that Jim Rhodes became IronMan temporarily before being War-Machine
