Yes, it is true that yesterday was my birthday, and several of you contacted me to wish me well (a couple of you posted — Thanks). Truth to tell, while I did spend some time yesterday doing stuff that I do enjoy (I saw two films back-to-back Lakeview Terrace & Righteous Kill) which I will review shortly on my Film column, Suspension of Belief which can be found over at (the new and improved) PopThought), much of my day (as well as the week prior) was, well, crap.
Hopefully that will change.
Still, the voice mail from my younger brother (where he said “I miss you the most, Scarecrow”) did brighten my day. Then, of course the cards from my children (where they both credit me as being a great dad because I had a great kid with them) were cute. Then, of course, there was this bit of silliness from Tommy:
Thanks to all!
This is the place where I discuss all things Sacred and Profane. Stop by and check me out. Leave a comment (or not), as this is done for my own amusement. If you too are entertained, all the better, but that is not the motivation here. For I, am a...Writer with attitude! Comics, Sci Fi, movies, TV, Books, the Internet, Pop Culture, you name it. I talk about all of these things and more. These are the things that entertain me. I can only hope that some of them will entertain you as well.

Hehehehe...Scarecrow.
There must be a story behind that. :)
Oddly enough, no, not really. Perhaps that’s what makes it funny.

Do brothers always create these kind of nicknames?
Good going with the panel Tom
Ooo, ooo, that's from the No Adjective Spider-Man title! Back when Eric Larsen was writing and drawing it. Was the last issue of the Revenge of the Sinister Six story. It was Peter's birthday. Do I get some bonus points on my geek card?
But of course, Reg, you are the official “Geek of the Week!”
Oh, and I recently heard this, but do you know the difference between a Geek and a Nerd?
A Geek waits in line for hours to view the midnight premiere of Star Wars, a Nerd comes dressed up as one of the characters.
There's a difference between a geek and a nerd? I did not know that. I'll have to watch which term I use from now on.
